Towards the end of June in 2016 Anne and Henry were in the back garden when they heard a lamb bleating. The bleat was getting closer and eventually was traced to an adjacent lane. With some help they managed to corner him, pick him up and pop him over the fence and into the safety of the Fleecehaven fields.

Towards the end of June in 2016 Anne and Henry were in the back garden when they heard a lamb bleating. The bleat was getting closer and eventually was traced to an adjacent lane. With some help they managed to corner him, pick him up and pop him over the fence and into the safety of the Fleecehaven fields.
The lamb had no ear tag so there was no means of identifying where he had come from. We asked around but no one appeared to be missing a lamb. He was a tiny little thing and extremely timid.
After Timmy had been with us for approximately a month his rightful owner came forward to claim him. As you can imagine we were devastated as his fate would ultimately be slaughter. With much relief we were able to negotiate to keep him and, thanks to his initial ingenuity to escape, he will now live out the rest of his natural life at Fleecehaven.

- Fleecehaven is entirely run by volunteers; no salaries are paid so your money goes directly to looking after Fleecehaven’s animals. How good is that!

Your adoption can be set to start at a specific date, such as a birthday, anniversary or Christmas and we can include a message, such as birthday greetings on your certificate.
Please note that it can take up to two weeks to process your adoption pack so if you’d like your adoption got a special day then please try to allow us sufficient time.
