Leo
Leo arrived at Fleecehaven on 17th April 2009. He had been rescued from a farm in Surrey by Gillian and Fiona who brought him to Fleecehaven.
Leo was born one of twins at the livery yard where Gillian kept her horse. Sadly his mother would have nothing to do with him but Gillian just happened to be at the yard when he was born.
She told the farmer that she’d be willing to have a go at bottle feeding him and so an hour after his entry into the world he ended up wrapped in a towel next to the stove at Gillian and Fiona’s home.
As time went on Gillian and Fiona knew the day was coming when Leo would have to go back to the farm but they knew he was a lucky little lamb who deserved a break and so the search began to find Leo a home.
Operation ‘Home for a Lamb’ took off in earnest with friends and neighbours scouring the papers and shop notice boards for any scrap of land where he could be kept until a friend came up with Fleecehaven. Just one look at the website and they knew this was sheep heaven.
You can find out more about Leo and visit him at Fleecehaven by adopting him.
