Sooty
Sooty arrived in April 2017 and was our fourth lamb of the spring. He had been found by a lady the day before on a farm where the farmer’s attitude was that ‘a sick lamb is a dead lamb’.
We were shocked by his terrible condition and and after an initial assessment, our vet decided to admit the Sooty to the veterinary hospital where he was put onto a drip for 24 hours.
Thankfully he was a real fighter and four days later was able to return home. We decided to call him Sooty, in memory of one of our very first sheep.
Despite being initially isolated from our other lambs, Sooty is now fully integrated with Larry, Snowie and Eboni and the four of them have become a real team.
You can find out more about Sooty and visit him at Fleecehaven by adopting him.
